Google is God? The new report published on the EGR website shows that while William Hill Casino has risen by 2% in the first page search engine results over the June period, Casino.com fell from a previous high of 42% in April to 35% placing them at fourth place in the rankings and Casino.co.uk fell from 38% to 30% placing them sixth place in the table. These cahnges shown in the online casino search engine rankings have been achieved since April this year when the data was last analysed. The most popular searched casino related term was ‘Casino’ with 35% of all searches being for this word, followed by ‘online casino’ which represented 19% of all search requests. Google is by far the most popular search engine and represents 90% of all search engine activity in the UK, clearly getting things right with Google is paramount with the UK online casino’s. The most popular online casino in UK search engine results is 888.com with 60% which is down a little from the 63% achieved from the last EGR results published for April. Spin Palace is no.2 on the list with 50% and other big names with good first page results are InterCasino ranked no.8 with 23%, 32 Red at number 9 with 21% and Littlewoods Casino managing no.11 and 15%. The change in the statistics for some of the big sites since April, show that online casino sites need to keep on top of SEO to keep their position on the leaderboard for search engine visibility, sitting on your laurels in such a competitive and fast paced market is not an option.
